Zayn Malik is soaking up every moment of the newborn stage with his 6-month-old daughter, Khai. In an interview with iHeartRadio’s Valentine in the Morning, the 28-year-old dad said that he and Gigi have had a surprisingly easy time adjusting to parenthood.
“Honestly it’s amazing,” said the proud father, who recently got a tattoo in his baby’s honor. “A lot of people that I was speaking to, like, obviously before she was born and stuff were like, ‘You know, it’s a big adjustment, it’s gonna be a massive change’ . . . but honestly, she’s an amazing baby and it’s been really easy for me and G to just ease into it.”
After mentioning that Khai “sleeps really well” and “loves her milk,” Zayn gushed over Gigi. “She’s a wicked mom,” he said. “Obviously, she’s really a big help with everything.”
Although Zayn admits his demanding career had been a big focus before Khai was born, he’s enjoyed slowing down the pace and doing bonding activities with his little one.
“I just love spending my days with her, hanging out with her, just doing really relaxing, chill stuff. Just watching kids’ shows on TV, on Netflix, and learning nursery rhymes, and rolling ’round with her and just singing to her [is great],” he said. “It’s a really different pace of life, but it’s been really easy to adjust to it, for sure,” he explained. “I think that’s the most surprising thing.”
